A starting point for your brew

The calculator pairs each brewing method with a suggested coffee-to-water ratio. Strength presets are a place to begin; taste and adjust the dose, grind, and brew time for your coffee and equipment. Water is estimated at about 1 g per 1 mL, and the recipe lists the amount added to the grounds.

We adapted the ratio presets from the Coffee Bros coffee-to-water calculator. For method-specific preparation advice, explore the National Coffee Association’s brewing guide.
